How you become a student at Asian University
To become a student at Asian University, please follow the steps of the application process as described below. You can apply until the programme begins; please find important dates in the Academic Calendar. For academic degree programs, please consider about 2 weeks to process your application.
Step 1 — You
Please choose your programme, fill out the application form attached to the programme brochure and submit it — together with the required documents (down this page and listed in the brochure) — to info@asianust.ac.th. If you also apply for a scholarship for Thai students from one of our scholarship programmes, please mention this in your cover letter (or in the text of your email, respectively).
Step 2 — Asian University
After accepting your application, we will send you a Letter of Admission that offers you a place of study, and a payment schedule. This payment schedule also includes the Application Fee. You don't need to send it separately at high transfer cost, if you apply from outside Thailand.
Step 3 — You
With the Letter of Admission, you apply at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa. Don't forget to download a copy of Asian University's 'school registration' when you apply for the visa. After you paid the visa fee, this visa will be issued for a period of 90 days. This is more than enough to come to Asian University and to register for your first semester. (Please note: Part of this step in the process is the evaluation of your transcripts by the Ministry of Education.)
Step 4 — Asian University
After you have registered and paid the tuition fee, we issue you a confirmation letter stating that you are a fully registered student at Asian University.
Step 5 — You and Asian University
With this confirmation letter, you go with us to the Immigration Bureau in Jomtien, which will then extend your visa to one full year.
