Lecturer positions at the Faculty of Liberal Arts (opened 18.06.2012)
The Master of Education program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Asian
University has opened a position for a full time lecturer on the program. We are looking for a young
dynamic academic to complement our team to take up both instructional responsibilities as well as
research responsibilities. The M.Ed. in TESOL program is an international teacher education program
that focuses on educating Thai as well as foreign in service teachers or aspiring teachers to become
excellent professional in the field of English language teaching. Asian University is a small but ambitious
international university southeast of Bangkok, Thailand which aims at becoming a leader in the provision
of quality teacher education in Thailand and the ASEAN region.
An eligible candidate possesses the following characteristics:
- A Master’s degree or higher (PhD or Ed.D preferred) in the field of Education, Applied
Linguistics or TESOL from a reputable international university
- 5 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level
- Evidence of academic publications in the field of TESOL or education
- Native or near native English language proficiency
- Proficiency in at least one other language besides English preferred

Lecturer positions at the Faculty of Business
The Faculty of Business is currently seeking lecturers and senior lecturers for the following fields:

The Faculty of Business at Asian University is seeking terminally qualified full-time and part-time faculty committed to excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service. International education and/or teaching experience are required as is evidence of research activity. Outstanding communication skills with both Thai and cross-cultural sensitivity are expected. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate as well as graduate courses and participate in student guidance on Independent Studies and Thesis, and serve on faculty committees.

Library Supervisor
Job Description:
- Managing a team of library staff.
- Cataloguing, classifying and indexing stock.
- Promoting library services to the community, pupils or students.
- Managing information technology in a library context, such as designing user-friendly ways of searching.
- Dealing with specific research enquiries.
- Controlling budgets and selecting stock.
- Setting up development activities, such as reading groups.
- Helping members of the public to use the internet.
Qualifications:
- Thai Nationality, age above 27 years old with master degree in library and information science or in related fields.
- At least two years satisfactory experience of library management and experience in providing library and information services, Information Technology, library automated system, word processing, Excel, databases and other software program.
- Be able to supervise others and budget financial resources.
- Have a strong customer service focus and be highly organized.
- Ability to work accurately, quickly with the team and have flexibility and a service mind.

Job Description:
- Participate in the development of a computerized university registration system.
- Key in using the database system in Registrar Office.
- Prepare registration documents.
- Schedule classes in coordination with the academic faculties.
