The IAP programme includes per week:
15 hours English language; mathematics;
plus business. engineering or multimedia subjects as appropriate.

This programme is free for those students who continue into the degree programme having acheived an IELTS level of 5.0.

The Business and Liberal Arts foundation programme includes per week:
13 hours of English Language
2 Hours of IT
6 hours of English for Business studies
4 hours of business mathematics

The Engineering foundation programme includes per week:
13 hours of English Language
2 Hours of IT
8 hours of mathematics,
2 hours of chemistry and physics

Foundation programmes

We offer two foundation programmes, one for potential business students and the other for future engineering and science students

Both programmes provide a firm foundation for students wanting to study in an English Language University either in Thailand or overseas. Students have the benefit of small classes, and can join at the start of either semester (in August or January) or The Intensive academic Preparation Programme (IAP) in June. Our team of experienced native English-speaking staff have been running the programme for several years, and are able to offer a very flexible programme, depending on the students’ needs. At present, both programmes offer 13 hours of English Language classes, including reading, writing, listening and speaking, and they also include 2 hours of IT each week. The other classes concentrate on the language needed to study the more specialised subjects in English.

The Business programme includes 6 hours of English for Business studies and 4 hours of business mathematics.

The Engineering programme includes 8 hours of mathematics and 2 hours each of chemistry and physics each week.

Intensive Academic Preparation
programme [IAP]

For ten weeks from early June to mid-August, we offer a series of intensive academic programmes (IAP). These are for those students who feel that they need some extra English (and maybe other subjects) tuition before the academic year starts. The IAP includes about 15 hours English language per week, plus mathematics, plus business or engineering subjects as appropriate. This programme is free for those students who continue into the degree programme having reached an IELTS level of 5.0.

For students whose English is already adequate for studying the academic programmes, we offer two alternatives: the IMP (Intensive Mathematics Programme) which concentrates on mathematics and the IMPP (Intensive Mathematics and Physics Programme) which includes mathematics and physics. The first option can be for any students who are planning to attend Asian U, and the IMPP is designed for students planning to study engineering at Asian U.
