Here at Asian University of Science and Technology, there are approximately 220 undergraduates and graduates combined. Most students stay in the dormitory on campus, but a few commute back and forth every day.
Like most other International colleges in Thailand, virtually all the undergraduates here are Thai. But unlike elsewhere a large percentage of the student body of Asian UST is composed of students who went to High Schools in foreign countries, such as England, New Zealand, and Australia. Additionally, there are many students from various International schools in Thailand, namely Bangkok Patana International School, Ruamrudee International School as well as the International School of the Region. Those of you who have been abroad as exchange students would most likely be able to relate to many students here since a lot of them were exchange students with programs such as AFS. Not only are there Thai students in Asian UST, but there are also several foreigners, mainly from Asia, and a few from Europe and America.
Although the number of students here is very small,
there are advantages to that as well. First of all, with the small number of students, you really get the opportunity to know everyone very well. It is also very easy to make friends here at Asian UST simply due to the fact that we have such interesting students and a quite diversified student body, and also because everyone here is very eager to meet new people. All the undergraduates here live together like a big family, and we consider ourselves to be brothers and sisters, taking care of each other and helping each other when someone in need.
We would be very glad if you would join us here at Asian UST, making our family bigger and tighter, and sharing all the fun that we always have here.
