Leisure Activities

Asian UST encourages you to join in with the leisure activities, either after a whole day of work or at week-ends – whenever you have free times.

We have a whole range of sports and clubs which everyone has the opportunity to join and to choose from to fit their own liking.

Sports

The Sports Complex has all the necessary equipments to play sports, such as the racquets and balls. Even though most people have their own equipment.

There are four badminton courts, a volleyball court and a basketball court located on the same area, whereas the squash courts are in a separate area. There are four of these courts, all with air-conditioning. Table tennis is played in the room next to the sports hall – there are three tables altogether. However, if you happen to like running or biking you can run or cycle on the road which goes all the way around the university.

Clubs

BasketBall Club

Badminton club

Football Club

Volleyball Club

Music Club

Computer Club

The different clubs are organized on different days of the week. This makes it more convenient for the people who are in more than one club. For some of the clubs you have to pay a membership fee. The fee pays for the transportation which is needed to go and play matches at other places.

The people who are in the clubs also have advantages over the people who are not; for example, the non-members are not allowed to play that sport while the club members are on. The people who are in the different clubs are also being taught about their own sort of activity which they are in the club for.

Water sport is being introduced, such as wind-surfing, so that the students have the opportunity to try something different.

Field trips are sometimes arranged to enable the students to explore different aspects of Thailand, which they may not have had the opportunity to explore. For example, the trip to Lopburi was arranged for the Intensive course so that they had the chance to visit the drug addicted people.
