Computers

Each room in the dormitory has its own network connections, providing access to the Asia U local network and the Internet. Computers are available for student use in the dormitory common rooms.

In the Academic building there are three computer laboratories fully equipped with networked computers. There are also computers available for everyone’s use in the library. Full support is provided by the Communication and Computer Centre staff.

Library

A well-stocked library is located in the academic building. Apart from the library books, periodicals and newspapers in stock, it is possible for students to borrow books and documents from other university libraries in Thailand. Some very popular books are reserved for reference only, but are available for use in the library.

There is also a Non-book Media Collection, consisting of CD-ROMs, disks, cassettes, maps, and photographs that may be borrowed only with special permission. The Audiovisual Collection, consisting of CD-ROMs, Diskettes, Cassette Tapes, Video Tapes and other audiovisual materials are available for users to borrow.

The library is normally open every day except public holidays. All members of the university are eligible to join the library and make use of the facilities.

Food and Restaurant Services

There is a cafeteria in the dormitory building serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also two cafeterias in the academic building, one serving Thai food as well as snacks and drinks. The other serves mostly American and western style food. There is a mini-mart in the dormitory building selling drinks and snacks.

General Services available daily, by appointment, or on a walk-in basis:
– Focused Physical Examinations
– Evaluation and treatment of illness
– First Aid and follow-up care of injuries
– Placement and removal of sutures
– Diagnostic services, on campus or by referral
– STD education, diagnosis and treatment/referral; condoms available
– Equipment loan – crutches, splints, ice packs, heating pads, etc.
– Educational literature and audiovisual aids

Special Services available by appointment or special arrangement

– Individual wellbeing consultation
– Nutrition, weight management and exercise
– Smoking cessation
– Women's health issues/clinical services/education
– International students' health issues
– Preventive medicine
– Health fairs
– Programming for campus life and special interests groups

Group accident insurance is provided to all students and staff by Asian U, and students are expected to have their own medical insurance cover. In an emergency, transport to a local hospital can be provided.
