Spring Semester 2012: 6 February to 18 May 2012
Application period is closed.
The Spring semester is currently running. The data for the Spring Semester 2013 will be published in March 2012.
The fee for the Spring Semester is 195 € per week including accommodation and culture programme.*
Please choose from following options:
- 15 week semester with 6 courses for 2,925 €*, or
- 10 weeks with 4 courses for 1,950 €*, or
- 5 weeks with 2 courses for 975 €*
The fee covers all course and academic fees, textbooks, accommodation on campus (double occupancy with bathroom, meeting international youth hostel standards), and a comprehensive (non-credit) Thai Culture Immersion Programme. Seven day-long trips to cultural and commercial venues are part of that programme.
Each course is granted 3 credits. Due to its contact hours and workload, we recommend to translate 1 Credit at Asian University into 2 ECTS credits.
All courses are regular undergraduate courses at Asian University in the Faculties of Business, Engineering and Technology, and Liberal Arts. Universities requesting a copy of the curriculum please contact us directly.
No classes are conducted in the 5th and 10th week of the semester: Twice 10 days time for you to travel around and experience Asia.
To apply to this programme, please download the programme brochure and use the application form attached to it. After your application is accepted, you will receive a Letter of Admission that you need to apply for a student visa (non-immigrant ED visa) at the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country, and a payment schedule. The payment of the enrolment fee of 195 € or 280 USD saves your place in the programme. The rest of fees needs to be paid until two months before your the International Thailand Semester starts (earliest payment is recommended to allow for maximum time for visa application).
German students may be interested in Förderung durch Auslands-BAFöG.

Optional tours
Optional tours (not included in participation fee) in Thailand can be arranged at the end of the programme. With clever planning you could visit any of Asia's three wonders of the world, to neighboring Cambodia, to visit the ancient temples of Angkor, or to the Great Wall of China, or the Taj Mahal in India.
Also, when booking your flight you might consider a stopover on your return journey in Singapore (Singapore Airlines), Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific) or Kuala Lumpur (Malaysian Airlines) or even Dubai (Emirates). These can be surprisingly cheap if booked in advance.
* All prices are at current exchange rates and are subject to change. They will certainly not change anymore after your paid your enrolment fee. All prices are package prices. They won't change if you opt to study fewer courses or opt to live off-campus.
